Yijing Bagua Classes Sundays
Explore the 8 trigrams of the Yijing as an experiential practice. Most know the Yijing as the Book of Changes, an ancient Chinese divination text, but the Yijing is in actuality a study of the phenomenon of change through a rigorous yet poetic exploration of dialectics, and is the foundation of all Chinese culture. This lineage uses the internal martial art baguazhang as a vehicle for Yijing study, using the 8 martial forms, or palm changes, as moving meditation that develops a sensitivity to each trigram. Ultimately this allows the practitioner to use the Yijing as a map for cultivated experiences, rather than trusting to random chance.
This lineage of bagua and meditation was likely put together by Daoist Master Liu Hongjie, and was taught to me by Frank Allen
